Resilient and sovereign communication via websites
We provide services related to resilient and sovereign communications: we rescue, archive, design, develop and host websites for activists and organizations involved with human, LGBTTIQANB+, and environmental rights, on sovereign infrastructure.
Resilient websites
We provide sustainable and resilient web design, development and migration services, as well as UX services focused on usability and accessibility, information architecture, interaction and visual design. We work with FOSS technologies that adjust best to the needs and possibilities of social organizations.
After more than 10 years of experience developing, maintaining and restoring websites for social organizations, we decided to focus on a more resilient and suitable type of technology for the organizations we collaborate with, which we call pre-generated or solid sites.
With solid sites, unlike more mainstream options, users who manage a website cease to have or reduce the number of typical problems such as updates, high cost of maintenance, slowness, denial of service attacks (DDOS), malware infection, hacks, increasing cost of hosting, and unexpected technical problems, while gaining in both speed and resilience, as we drastically reduce the infrastructure needed to host them.
Site migration
Any site can be migrated from its current platform to a solid site. Both design and content remain the same, while the website gains resiliency, without losing self-management capabilities.
Site preservation and recovery
Many times an organization or collective's website was developed, its content published, but they can no longer take care of it. Other times, the site falls out of maintenance and is lost.
We provide the service of preserving a site that no longer needs content updates, so that its need for maintenance is reduced to the bare minimum.
We can also recover websites that were lost, if it is possible to access a backup or if it was stored by web archivers, such as the Wayback Machine.
Attack prevention
Sometimes it is not yet possible to migrate the website to make it solid, but it is possible to prevent attacks or infections by generating separate static copies. In the event of a security incident, it is possible to publish this more secure version while the underlying problem is being resolved, without the stress of downtime.
Fediverse publication
With direct publishing to the Fediverse (Mastodon, Pixelfed, and others), the site can federate with free social networks. With this, it is possible to publish to both the site and the Fediverse at once, with the possibility to chat and interact with other users, organically expanding the reach of your communications.
The self-management panel also acts as a moderation queue, allowing you to enable the interactions you want to receive and to block completely those we don't.
Publication on the distributed web
The distributed publishing integrated in our panel enables the dissemination of content through multiple collaborating nodes. If one is attacked, the others are still intact and functioning and we can redirect the site to any of them. This distribution is not only much more resistant to attacks, but also to censorship.
Robust site hosting
If the site has already been developed as a solid site (from scratch, with a static site generator, etc.) we can host it in our infrastructure and provide connection to a remote repository so that it can be updated, without necessarily using our CMS.
